The HAL Robotics Framework
HAL Robotics’ operator-first software can be adapted for just about any process, from finishing to additive, to inspection, to welding. It is designed to give the operator, the person with knowledge and experience, enough agency to adapt the process without burdening them with the complexities of robots. It leverages generative robot toolpaths, derived from data sources like 3D scans, CAD models or text in a database. This means that when incoming data changes the robot program does too, which gets validated almost instantly by the cell’s digital twin to ensure any potential errors are caught before runtime. - Combining the strengths of both operators and machines to create a team that is better than the sum of its parts. - Allows the use of automation in processes that are traditionally difficult to automate. - Increases the operator’s productivity by using their intelligence and decision making where it’s needed and delegating the dull, dirty or dangerous parts of the process to the robot. - Increased flexibility enables the production of batches-of-one with economies of scale. - Compatible with robots from ABB, Universal Robots, KUKA, FANUC, Mitsubishi and nearly a dozen more brands. - Exports code in the robot’s native language, and communicates using vendor-designed protocols, to maintain any integrated safety and system functions.
