Made Smarter Innovation has partnered with Immerse UK to release a series of use cases in the run-up to the Immerse Technology Conference on 28th - 29th September 2022 in Sheffield.
Govia Thameslink Railway (GTR) wanted to improve its maintenance instructions and procedures. Quick and easy-to-understand instructions are important for accurate and efficient maintenance processes. Traditional maintenance instructions are often lengthy paper directions with 2D images and diagrams, which can at times be difficult to understand or slow to follow. This project focused on understanding the needs of both the maintenance operators and asset owners to improve productivity. In order to improve task performance and reduce errors it is imperative that information can be provided when and where users require it. The challenge was to create a system that would allow all these issues to be addressed.
Made Smarter Innovation, Immerse UK and AREA in collaboration with the HVMC, is holding an enterprise XR workshop/demonstration event on the 28th – 29th September 2022, taking place at the AMRC Factory 2050 in Sheffield, UK.
